On the occasion of International Women’s Day, March 9, 2025, Asian Bridge India, under its Gender Justice project and in collaboration with APF, organized a spirited football competition for adolescent girls at Kanshiram Awas, Varanasi. The event carried a powerful message: “Khel ka koi gender nahi hota – khel sabka adhikaar hai, khel desh ka sammaan hai.” The tournament was not just about sports—it was about breaking gender stereotypes, encouraging girls to claim their space on the field, and celebrating their right to play, lead, and excel. Through this initiative, the girls experienced the joy of participation, teamwork, and confidence-building. Asian Bridge India believes that sports can be a strong tool for social change, and this event was a step forward in promoting gender equality at the grassroots level. With a clear vision, the organization affirms: “Asian Bridge India ne thana hai, badlaav lana hai.”
