Our mission is to advance gender equality and promote the empowerment of all individuals.
We are a team of dedicated educators, activists, and community leaders working together to uplift marginalized populations in Varanasi, India. Since 2009, Asian Bridge India (ABI) has been on a mission to improve the lives of those affected by poverty, violence, and systemic discrimination. We stand with children, youth, women, Dalits, sexual minorities, and all who face barriers to their basic human rights. Through our programs, we advocate for gender equality, economic justice, and peaceful solutions to social challenges, fostering dignity and participation in both urban and rural communities.

Advocating for gender equity
We are committed to advocating for comprehensive policy changes and legal reforms that promote gender equity across local, national, and international platforms. By working with governments, communities, and international organizations, we aim to dismantle systemic barriers and ensure equal rights, opportunities, and protections for all genders, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society.
Providing support for gender-based violence survivors
We provide comprehensive support and essential resources to survivors of gender-based violence, ensuring they have access to counselling, safe shelter, and legal assistance. Our approach prioritizes their emotional, physical, and legal needs, empowering them to rebuild their lives with dignity and security while working to break the cycle of violence through advocacy and community-based interventions.
Collaborating with organizations and communities
We actively collaborate with other organizations and communities to build a robust network of advocates for gender equality. By fostering partnerships and sharing resources, we amplify our collective impact, create opportunities for joint initiatives, and strengthen the movement toward a more just and equitable society. Together, we work to drive sustainable change and ensure that gender equality becomes a reality at every level.
Conducting educational programs and workshop
We conduct educational programs and interactive workshops designed to raise awareness about gender issues, challenge harmful stereotypes, and promote respectful, equitable relationships. Through these initiatives, we engage diverse audiences, from schools to communities, equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to foster a culture of inclusivity and mutual respect, ultimately contributing to a more gender-sensitive society. We also strive to create a child-centred and discrimination-free model school to educate teachers on how to promote these values.

We foster economic empowerment by providing training, mentorship, and microloan programs tailored to women and marginalized genders. These initiatives equip individuals with the skills, knowledge, and financial support needed to achieve independence, build sustainable livelihoods, and overcome economic barriers. We promote equal representation in leadership roles and decision-making positions across all sectors, advocating for the inclusion of women and marginalized genders at every level.
