On 6th August 2024, as part of its “6 Months – Towards Change” campaign, Asian Bridge India, with support from Shadhika, conducted an engaging gender sensitization workshop with adolescent boys at Children Academy, Kamachha, Varanasi. Through a combination of games, role play, and interactive discussions, the session aimed to raise awareness about gender equality and how early socialization shapes our understanding of gender roles.

The workshop encouraged boys to critically reflect on how toys, clothes, colors, grooming, and household tasks are divided along gender lines—often without any written rule or conscious reasoning. The session provided a safe space for participants to question these norms and understand their role in promoting a more equitable society. It was a step forward in helping young boys grow into respectful, thoughtful individuals committed to gender justice.
