On 9th March 2025, Asian Bridge India, with the support of APF, organized an inclusive Iftar Party at its office under the thematic area of Gender Justice. The event brought together young people from both Hindu and Muslim communities to celebrate the spirit of unity, respect, and togetherness. The gathering reflected the essence of harmony, promoting the idea that cultural and religious diversity should be celebrated, not divided. The slogan of the event — “Hindu-Muslim are one, Ram-Raheem are one” — echoed the message of peace and shared humanity.

Understanding to Empower: Pre-Test Assessment with Adolescent Girls

On 5th March 2025, Asian Bridge India, with the support of APF, successfully conducted a Pre-Test Assessment session with adolescent girls from the Happy Group in Koilhwa village, Kanshiram Awas, Shivpur, Varanasi. The purpose of the pre-test was to assess the current knowledge levels of the participants before starting the upcoming learning sessions. This helped the team identify the needs, challenges, and areas of improvement for the girls, forming a foundation for more impactful interventions.

The session marked another step in ABI’s continued commitment to gender justice and adolescent empowerment. By understanding where the girls stand today, ABI aims to build tailored and effective programs for their holistic development. Youth United for Change: Formation of a New Youth Group

On 2nd March 2025, Asian Bridge India, with the support of APF, facilitated the formation of a dynamic youth group at its office, bringing together young individuals from the Kamalgarha area. The group formation included the official naming of the collective and a democratic election of its leader, empowering the youth to take ownership of their journey toward growth and community engagement.

This initiative, under the theme of Gender Justice, aims to develop leadership skills among young people and encourage their active participation in social change. The newly formed group is envisioned as a platform for dialogue, action, and advocacy, contributing to inclusive and sustainable development. Asian Bridge India extends its best wishes to the new group and stands with them in building a brighter, more equitable future.

Training Young Girls to Assess Social and Family Issues

On 16th February 2025, under the “Youth Initiative for Equality” project, Asian Bridge India organized a focused training session with adolescent girls in the Usmanpura area. The session aimed to assess the social and family challenges faced by young girls and open dialogue on issues affecting men, women, and adolescents in the community. The training created a safe space for the girls to share their experiences and engage in collective reflection on real-life challenges.

Additionally, a Human Rights session (Session 02) was conducted with young girls in the Kanshiram Awas, Shivpur area. The session covered essential topics such as fundamental rights and duties, aiming to build awareness and empower the girls to recognize their entitlements and responsibilities as citizens. These efforts continue ABI’s mission to promote gender justice and youth empowerment through education and dialogue.

Training Adolescent Boys on Gender Sensitivity and Non-Violent Masculinity

On 3rd September 2024, Asian Bridge India, with support from Shadhika, conducted a thought-provoking gender training session with adolescent boys at Children Academy School, Salarpur, Panchkosi Road, Varanasi. The workshop focused on critical issues such as gender-based violence, masculinity, and patriarchy, encouraging boys to reflect on how societal norms and media influence their perception of manhood.

Led by Mohammad Moosa Azmi and Neeti, the session engaged 25 young participants in open discussions around toxic masculinity and the pressures of conforming to dominant male stereotypes. Through reflective questioning—such as why certain film actors are admired and whether violence is glorified—the boys were guided to reimagine masculinity rooted in empathy, respect, and emotional intelligence. The session empowered them to resist harmful socialization and instead choose to become sensitive, respectful individuals who contribute positively to society.
